What is Prospector?
Prospector is part of the LeadBooster add-on, when you add it to your account you automatically receive 10 Prospector credits to get new leads every month at no additional cost. Remember that each prospect you add uses one credit.
This tool displays all the contacts that match your prospect search requirements, from which you have the ability to choose which ones are of most value to you and add them to your Leads Inbox to start their movement down the sales funnel.
In order for all users of the same account to be able to access Prospector and add new leads to the Mailbox, administrators must give the appropriate permissions and only administrators can purchase more credits for the account.
Prospector gives you access to a database of 400 million profiles and 10 million companies collected from high quality public and private sources.
How do I use Prospector?
To access, you must click on Prospector, then go to Prospects and click on Prospector. You will be able to locate it with the blue vinoculars icon .
From the prospects section of your account you can filter your search. You have the possibility of adding the different conditions that you require to find the ideal prospects, you can search for elements such as: industry, name, country, position, management level and even specific names of the users. Then click on “Search”.
At the top of your dashboard you will find the option to edit/save your search criteria and below it is your credit balance information as well as the option to choose which view you want: People or Organizations .
Organizations View. It allows you to organize your deals individually and does not have group actions.
To review the information in detail it is important to click on the name of the organization and then review the contact person’s data.
People View. Displays directly the available contact persons according to your search criteria. It gives you the possibility to add individual and group prospects by selecting them and adding them to the prospect.
How to use credits in Prospector?
At the end of your monthly period on an annual payment plan or when you renew your subscription all remaining Prospector lead credits in your account expire, and new credits are added to your account.
If you have reached your credit limit and wish to purchase more credits, you can do so by clicking on the prospect counter, and then on the information button (i).
If you wish to modify the amount of Prospector credits added to your account each month, go to Billing > Manage Add-ons.
Once in Billing, in the LeadBooster header, click on the “Change Quantity” option to select how many Prospector credits you want to add to your subscription.
Use the slider to select how many Prospector lead credits you want, between 100 and 1,000 per month, remember that the more credits you choose, the cheaper the cost per credit.
If you have an annual subscription your Prospector lead credits are added to your account monthly at the beginning of the billing cycle, and as mentioned above, these credits also expire on the day of the monthly allocation.
It is very important to remember that any downgrades you make to your supplement are applied at the end of the billing cycle, so if you downgrade Prospector credits on intermediate days, the downgrade will only take effect at the end of your billing cycle.
How do I add new leads?
To add a prospect and display the person’s data and organization in detail click on “+ Prospect” on a contact person. With this action, the contact will be added to your Prospect Inbox and you will be able to access additional information about the contact.
Now you can add specific details you want to include as well as notes, create an action or convert it into a deal.
What are vague prospects and what to do with them?
Inaccurate leads are usually those that do not have the correct or updated information, for example, the phone number is disconnected or the email address is no longer active.
If this is the case, you should report it to Pipedrive’s research team to get your prospect credit back.
To do this you must click on the three dots of the prospect details (…) and select “Report inaccurate prospect”.
Inaccurate leads must be reported within ten days of purchase. Any converted leads that were converted to a deal are not reportable.
